A 35-year-old security guard was killed allegedly by his fellow in the Defence-A police limits on Saturday.
Police have removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against accused Jahangir on the complaint of Ahamd, brother of deceased. The deceased was identified as Amir Buksh, son of Ashiq Ali, a resident of Multan. The victim worked as a private security guard at W-Block DHA of Fahad Dogar, a property dealer. On the day of incident, victim exchanged harsh words on some minor issue with his colleague who became infuriated, whipped out his weapon and opened fire. As a result, he died on the spot. Police reached the incident place on information and removed the body to morgue for autopsy. Further investigations are underway.
suicide: A 20-year-old woman committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in the Sabzazar police limits on Saturday. Police have removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy. The deceased was identified as Sonia, a resident of Kharak Stop. The victim was living with her family. On the day of incident, she exchanged some harsh words with her mother-in-law on some minor issue. She got dejected and swallowed poisonous pills. Her condition deteriorated. She was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her as brought dead. Police reached the incident place on information and collected forensic evidences from crime scene.
found dead: A 60-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Racecourse police limits on Saturday. Police have removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed the police about a man lying unconscious near Kinnaird College. Police reached the scene and shifted the victim to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police said the victim looked like a drug-addict and might have died due to excessive use of drugs. However, autopsy will help ascertain the cause of death. Police are searching for the family of the deceased. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Qila Gujjar Singh police limits on Saturday. Police have removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed the police about a man lying unconscious. Police reached the scene on information. They shifted the victim to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police told the media that victim looked like a drug-addict and might have died due to excessive use of drugs. However, autopsy will help ascertain the cause of death. Police are searching for the family of the deceased.
shuttering: A labourer died while two others received injuries when the shuttering of an under-construction workshop collapsed in the Manawan police limits on Saturday. Police and rescue teams reached the scene on information and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital. The deceased was identified as Fiaz, 25, a resident of Ada Shabbir near Quid-e-Azam Interchange, Mominpura. The injured were identified as Wajahat, 27, and Shafiq, 28. Police said the victims were working on an under-construction workshop of Shahid. At around 11:00am, the shuttering broke down. The victims fell down with a big bang. One of them was buried under the rubble and the other two were hit hard.
The other workers ran out for help. Manzoor said he was preparing cement outside the building when he heard the sound created due to falling of victims and others things followed by their screams. He and other workers ran for help. As they entered the building, they found scaffolding everywhere. One of the workers called the Rescue 1122, Edhi Ambulance Service and police. The rescue teams reached the incident place on information and started rescue operation.
