Five PhDs awarded

Punjab University, on Wednesday, awarded PhD degrees to five scholars. They included Sadiq Hussain in the subject of Chemical Engineering after approval of his thesis entitled “Factors Influencing the Formation of Producer Gas from Coal and Biomass in Circulating Fluidized Bed Gasifier”, Nasim Ahmed Yasin in the subject of Agricultural Sciences after approval of his thesis entitled “Studies on Induction of Systemic Resistance in Rose by Pseudomonas and Bacillus Strains against Diplocarpon Rosae”, Sadia Ayaz in Home Economics after approval of her thesis entitled “Impact of Variation in Luminant Environment on Patron Turnover Rate in the Restaurants of Lahore, Pakistan”, Syeda Samra Jafri in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of her thesis entitled “Genetic Study of Human Neuronal Developmental Control Gene in Crime and Aggression” and Sajed Ali in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis entitled “Expression Studies of Viral Vector System against Sugarcane Mosaic Virus in Sugarcane”. —Correspondent
