The delegation of Pakistani high achievers, which is on a Europe’s study tour under the Punjab Chief Minister’s Programme, visited the historic Heidelberg University of Germany.
According to a handout, Heidelberg adjacent to Berlin has a historic importance as Allama Muhammad Iqbal, during doctorate in Philosophy in Germany, had stayed in the village of Heidelberg.
The position holder students especially visited the old house of Allama Iqbal in Heidelberg where the stay of great philosopher and poet of the subcontinent were written on the plaque.
The students visited various sections of Heidelberg University where they exchanged views with German teachers and students. The German teachers and students expressed appreciation for arranging the foreign tour by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for position holders. Consul General of Frankfurt arranged a dinner in honour of the position holder students. Embassy officials in Germany welcomed the students and termed them educational ambassadors of Pakistan all over the world.
