ON behalf of the Punjab chief minister, Chief Secretary Khizar Hayyat Gondal appreciated EDO Health Sargodha Nazir Aqib Nekokara for good performance and improving health indicators in the district at a meeting held in his honour. Adviser on Health Khwaja Salman Rafique, Health Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik and DG Health Zahid Pervez were also present.
According to a handout issued on Thursday, the chief secretary said it was a matter of pride for the Punjab government that its officers were earning a good name. He said the Punjab Chief Minister was desirous of promoting hard-work and encouraging diligent officers. He said the Punjab chief minister had issued instructions that encouragement for good work and diligent officers should be ensured.
Adviser on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique said the carrot and stick policy had been introduced on the direction of Punjab chief minister. He said the hard-working officer would get full appreciation from the Punjab chief minister and chief secretary.
Lauding EDO Health Sargodha, Khwaja Salman Rafique said that 24/7 programme was introduced to provide gyne and labour services at the BHUs round the clock. District Sargodha remained on the top position in performance regarding this programme and its credit went to the EDO Health Sargodha, he added.
He expressed the hope that EDO Aqib Nazir would continue to work with the same spirit. EDO Health Aqib Nazir said that encouragement by the Punjab chief minister and chief secretary was a matter of honour for him. He said his team would continue to work with the same spirit and they would try to come up to the expectations of the Punjab chief minister.
