Anti-Vehicles Lifting Staff (AVLS) arrested four members of a gang and recovered stolen cars, motorbikes, master keys and illegal weapons from their possession on Thursday.
A special team of AVLS conducted a raid and arrested four members of Sabri Gang. The accused were identified as gang leader Sabir alias Sabri and Pervaiz alias Peja, Muhammad Irfan and Kamran alias Kaka. Police recovered 14 cars and two bikes from them. They committed robberies in Civil Lines, Lower Mall, Racecourse, Baghbanpura, Mustafa Abad, Faisal Town, Iqbal Town, Mozang, Defence-A and Manga Mandi police limits.
They disclosed about their modus operandi in which a member of gang used to follow a citizen who parked his vehicle at a market or plaza. The member kept his gang informed about the situation. Another gang member came with a master key on information and stole the vehicle.
DIG Investigation announced commendatory certificates and cash prize for the team.
CAR THIEVES ARRESTED: Ghalib Market Police arrested two members of a gang involved in car snatching incidents.
A special team of police arrested two members of Afzal alias Ajja Car Thief Gang.
They were identified as Afzal alias Ajja and a woman, Zainab. A pick-up van, a car and a motorcycle were recovered. Model Town SP pronounced commendatory certificates and cash prize for the team.
House robbed: Robbers took away valuables worth lakhs of rupees from a house in Naseerabad Police limits. Two robbers entered a house at Bhabhra Stop and took away gold ornaments and cash after firing at a polio team working at a private school.
Naseerabad SHO said it was a robbery incident and there was no incident of firing at the polio team and snatching a bike from polio worker.
