KARACHI: The closing ceremony of Pakistan’s 2015 was held here at the Expo Centre Karachi, conducted by the Association of Printing and Graphic Industry and Badar Expo Solutions, along with illustrious printing sector of Pakistan, a statement said on Tuesday.
This year around was expanded in three large halls of Karachi Expo Centre, showcasing exhibits from more than 130 companies.
This included direct participations of companies based in China, Indonesia and Singapore, besides other international brands, having processing and production setups in Pakistan, it said.
Speaking on the occasion, Younis Bashir, president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), said: “It is our utmost desire to become voice of sectors that are doing great business, but are still not being catered well by the government in terms of support in duty structure and exports.
He recognises that PrintPak 2015 has been a strong step towards drawing attention for the policymakers and all concerns about the printing, graphic and paper industries.
He also said this platform will open doors for opportunities of investment, growth and bilateral trade in the fields of printing process and allied products and process in the country.
Younis Bashir applauded all the exhibitors and congratulates PAPGAI - Karachi Centre and Badar Expo Solution for successfully organising the event.
Earlier, Dr Minhajuddin, chairman of Printpak 2015 briefed that the encouraging response and success of the exhibition has concluded winning prospect for the future exhibitions in Lahore and Karachi.
He said, "We will InshaAllah bring out the next year’s expo on a much larger scale, with higher level of international participation and with a greater impact."
Delivering vote of thanks, Salman Haroon, head of the Exhibition Committee said, "We are thankful to all the sponsors and exhibitors and assured that we will constantly improve the overall level of exhibition with professional assistance of our event manager, the Badar Expo Solutions."
Later the chief guest, Younis Bashir, president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Ismail Memon, chairman of PAPGAI, Zohair Naseer, COO Badar Expo Solutions and Saleem Bikiya, CEO of IBM Printers / lead sponsor gave away shields and awards to the exhibitors, sponsors and key members of the organising committee.
