ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has maintained that the elimination of terrorism and resolving the energy issue are the top priorities of the government. Talking to outgoing ambassador of Germany in Pakistan Dr Cyril Nunn here at the PM House on Friday, he said the government is putting up the best efforts for attaining the two objectives besides according due attention to the development activities in various spheres across the country.
The ambassador paid a farewell call on the premier and had an exchange of views pertaining to the subjects of mutual interest. Prime Minster Nawaz appreciated the active role played by the German ambassador in improving the bilateral ties between the two countries during his stay in Pakistan.
He recalled his visit to Germany and meeting as well as his fruitful discussions with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. The Prime Minister said that elimination of terrorism and resolving energy issue are the top priorities of the government. He appreciated the visit of German trade and economic delegations to Pakistan which would contribute towards country’s development. The ambassador played important in conducting the visit.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wished best to the Ambassador Dr Cyril Nunn for his future assignments. He served in Islamabad for about three years.
