ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday directed for early activation of the Corona Relief Tiger Force at provincial and district level, saying he was sure the youth would show enthusiasm at this difficult time.
The prime minister observed this while talking to Special Assistant Usman Dar, who called on him here to have consultations with him over the Force. Dar presented a report on the registration of the new force and prime minister expressed satisfaction over it.
According to the Prime Minister Office, during the meeting, it was decided to make public the live updates of the Force. On the direction of prime minister, the force portal, Corona Relief Tigers Force, COVID-19 was linked to the official website and it was now showing live update.
The prime minister said the enthusiasm shown by the youth was quite appreciable and he was sure that they would demonstrate patriotism at this difficult time. He asked Dar to activate the Force early at provincial and district level and keep him updated on this count. Dar informed the prime minister that the number of registered Force had crossed 739,000 and majority of these are students and social workers and they also included engineers, teachers, lawyers and people from the corporate sector as well as NGOs and political activists.
