Exploding population

A Global Harvest Initiative report states that the world population is going to hit the nine billion mark by 2050. Some statistics predict more but let us talk about our beloved country.
Recent studies suggest that if we keep going at the current population growth rate our population would cross 300 million by 2050. Therefore there is a dire need to bring down the current growth rate which can only be done by effective family planning and by following models of countries like China. The so-called ‘Higher than the Himalayas’ friendship can teach us much more – only if we want to.
