Two shot dead
LAHORE: A 40-year-old man was gunned down for honour in the jurisdiction of the Sundar Police on Tuesday. The accused identified as Abdul Ghaffoor took Riaz to a field and shot him dead. The accused had nursed grudge against the victim for having illicit relations with his wife. Later, the accused reached the police station and surrendered. In another incident, a man was shot dead in Misri Shah following a dispute over stake money. The accused, Shakeel, shot dead Shafiq. The victim's heirs staged a demonstration against the police, blocked the road and burnt tyres.
Two injured: Two labourers were injured while digging near Old Ghazi Road Tuesday. The labourers were identified as Tanveer, 26, and Amanat, 28. Upon being informed, the Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and pulled out the labourers from the debris. They were shifted to the Lahore General Hospital.
