China gives more relief goods
Islamabad: As a gesture of solidarity with the Pakistani brethren and in continuation to the relief goods provided during earthquake of October 2015, the People's Republic of China has extended humanitarian assistance in the form of an additional tranche of 2,950 tents to the Government of Pakistan.
On behalf of the Government of China, Ambassador Sun Weidong handed over relief consignment to NDMA Chairman Major General Asghar Nawaz.
Talking on the occasion, the Chinese ambassador reiterated resolve of Chinese people to stand by the people of Pakistan, in natural disasters. He appreciated the Government of Pakistan for ensuring immediate response and provision of timely relief assistance to the affected population. The NDMA chairman thanked the ambassador for the support extended by China.
