Army’s Rizwan declared best player

KARACHI: Army’s M Rizwan was declared the best player of the national hockey championship here on Sunday.
PIA’s Abu Bakar was declared the best emerging player of the championship.
PIA’s Ihsanullah won the award for the top scorer with nine goals in the championship. All these three players got LEDs.
The best goalkeeper award was given jointly to PIA’s Imran Butt and WAPDA’s Khursheed Majeed. Both goalkeepers were awarded Rs25,000, each. These winners were decided by a committee of experts, comprising Olympian Jehangir Butt, Waseem Feroze and Saeed Khan.
