Showing concerns over the increase in the infection cases, the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) termed the situation critical and said 50 percent people did not follow preventive measures and they even do not believe in the existence of coronavirus.

Talking to The News, PMA president Prof Dr Masoodur Rauf Haraj said the rise in COVID-19 cases would increase the burden on healthcare workers and at the corona designated hospitals.

He pointed out the PMA is continuously issuing health alerts and suggestions for government and for the general public. He said in the beginning six coronavirus patients died and positive cases were more than 300. He said unfortunately nobody paid attention here to the directives and ignored doctors’ suggestions. He said now the result of that negligence was obvious in e unabated rise of COVID-19 cases.
