Rs94.573m distributed among cops, families this year
LAHORE:Lahore Police, in supervision of its Commander Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, has distributed an amount of more than Rs94.573 million so far among police personnel and their family members this year as welfare grant to financially support and facilitate them in marriage, educational stipends, medical treatment, funeral charges, Group Insurance, COVID-19 relief and other welfare related matters.
A financial grant cheques distribution ceremony was organised here Monday at Capital City Police Headquarters office where CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar along with DIG Operations Sajid Kiani distributed 163 cheques worth more than Rs5,184,000 as financial grant among employees of the Lahore police and their family members, including widows, parents and children of the martyrs and deceased employees.
Around 18 cheques worth Rs830,000 were distributed as dowry grant. An amount of more than Rs1,974,000 was also distributed among 44 police personnel as scholarships for education of their children. CCPO also distributed cheques as cash awards worth Rs375,000 among 15 police personnel for excellent performance during law and order situations. He distributed cheques amounting to Rs486,000 among 75 police officials for their overall good performance pertaining to crime control, discipline and well manners with citizens. An amount of more than Rs1,518,000 was also distributed among policemen as Group Insurance money.
Addressing the participants in the ceremony, the CCPO said that welfare of police officers, their family members particularly the heirs of police martyrs was a priority.
