Police trace blind murder case
Islamabad : The Koral Police have traced a blind murder case and arrested three accused in this regard, said the police officials on Tuesday.
The police also recovered murder tool from the accused. According to the details, the brother of missing Aamir Sajjad, a resident of Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad lodged a complaint with Koral police station that his brother Atif Ali was kidnapped by some unidentified persons from the area of Koral Police station. Koral police registered a case and started investigation. On June 10, police found a body which was later identified as Atif Ali.
In the light of DIG (Operations) orders, SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer constituted a police team under the supervision of SP (Rural Zone) Nosherwan Ali, DSP Abid Ikram including SHO Koral Police station Sub-Inspector Shokat Abbasi, Ghulam Rasool SI from Homicide Unit. This team collected the evidence about the incident and managed to arrest three accused identified as Yasir Mehmood, Muhammad Fazal and Abdullah Fazal and recovered the murder tool. Further investigation is underway from them.
Meanwhile, Shalimar police team has arrested two members of a criminal gang and recovered looted items worth Rs20 million, a police spokesman said.
He said that on 18 June 2021, some unknown dacoits broke into a house situated in Sector F-10/2, took the family hostage on gunpoint and took away valuables, a vehicle, heavy bike and other items.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police immediately registered a case no. 194 U/S 392/411/354 PPC. SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer took the notice of the incident and directed SP (Saddar Zone) Amjad Farooq Butter to arrest the culprits and recover the looted items.
SP (Saddar) constituted a special police team under supervision of SDPO (Ramna) Khalid Mehmood Awan and headed by SHO Shalimar Arshad Ali and comprising ASI Asif Raza and other officials. This police team worked hard, used technical resources, traced and arrested two accused identified as Imad Ghani and Yousha. The police team also recovered one vehicle, heavy bike, two laptops, watches, mobile phones, digital camera and other items worth Rs20 million approximately. The police team also raided to arrest the co-accused but yet to arrest him.
