MANSEHRA: Computer operators attached with different public sector departments on Saturday took to the streets in Upper Kohistan and demanded the government to announce professional allowance for their cadre.
The protesters assembled in Dasu, the district headquarters of Upper Kohistan, and chanted slogans in support of their demands.
“The government has included computer operations working in the basic pay scale-17 and above in the allowance scheme but didn’t recommend those working in 16 and low grades,” Ijazul Haq, the general secretary of the computer operations association, told the protest gathering. He said that if their demand was not met, they would observe the strike from Monday.
