Sania Mirza’s son makes his Wimbledon debut
LONDON: Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza is in London for Wimbledon 2021.
She and her doubles partner Bethanie Mattek Sands have reached into the second round.
Sania and Bethanie had a special guest in attendance to cheer for them and it was none other than Sania’s little munchkin, Izhaan, foreign media reported.
On July 1, 2021, Sania took to her IG handle and shared a picture with Bethanie and Izhaan and wrote, “Round 1…Smiles Spider man cheering us on Wimbledon.
Mirza has been selected to compete in the Olympic Games. She is the first Indian woman to compete in four Olympic Games but the tennis sensation has a difficult decision to make.
As the family members of the players are not allowed to travel with them due to the pandemic, Sania has to leave Izhaan while she travels to Tokyo.
Talking about the same in a press meet at Wimbledon, Sania stated, “Leaving him at any time is difficult.
I try to do it as little as possible. But if it’s something I have to do, then that’s what I will do. As working mothers, sometimes you have to do it.”
