NLF holds protest
Islamabad : The National Labour Federation (NLF) on Wednesday staged protest demonstration in front of the National Press Club to press for their demands.
Addressing the protestors, the NLF President Shamsur Rehman said the protest was organised against delay in completion of the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC).
He said a number of cases of the labour community were pending due to incomplete NIRC.
The NLF leader said a summary for appointment of members of NIRC was pending in the government offices.
He warned the government that a large number of industrial workers would stage protest in front of the Parliament House if the government does not appoint NIRC members in the next few days.
Other labour union leaders who addressed the demonstration include Aashiq Hussain (Iesco Labour Unity), Samiullah Khan (PTCL), Izzat Lala Khan (CDA Union).
