Cleanliness week begins in Nowshera district judiciary
NOWSHERA: The district judiciary kicked off a week-long cleanliness drive on Thursday.
The cleanliness campaign was launched as per the instructions of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan to ensure a neat and clean environment.
Speaking to participants of the walk arranged by judges, lawyers and court staff to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness, District and Sessions Judge Shehnaz Hameed Khattak said that it was our religious obligation to ensure a neat and clean environment.
She said that the purpose of the activity was to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness amongst the court staff, lawyers and people in general.
She asked the judges and lawyers to convey this message to the litigants and general public to keep their surroundings clean to protect themselves from various diseases.
Earlier, a walk was held from the court of district and sessions judge to the main gate of the district judiciary.
District and Sessions Judge Shehnaz Hameed Khattak, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tufail Ahmad and other judges and lawyers led the walk.
