RIS team visits China

The counsellors at Roots International Schools (RIS) took the opportunity as part of their professional development programme being extended by the Embassy of Peoples Republic of China to explore educational avenues for Pakistani students in China, says a press release.
The RIS delegation consisted of four career counsellors Maleeha Hassan, Ayesha Rauf, Hira Shahzad, Sobia Rehan and Principal Nadya Sultan nominated by RIS CEO & Rector MIUC Walid Mushtaq, Executive Director Sara Walid and wife of Chinese Ambassador Madam Bao Jiqing to represent Roots International Schools as a university guidance counsellors of Pakistan to open educational corridors for Pakistani youth. The delegation focused on discussing existing scholarships and summer camps offer which includes a student exchange program as well.
The trip was an enlightening experience for RIS team who work with young Rootsians day in and out to carve the educational pathway for them on the basis of their aspirations. Moreover, the partnership avenues with Chinese universities have been opened through this tour. This excursion will strengthen the strategic collaboration of RIS with China, which will in turn ultimately help in building corporate linkages between both countries.
The RIS delegation visited 14 exceptional state-of-the-art universities in four major cities (Urumqi, Chengdu, Shanghai and Beijing) of China made it very evident why China is becoming one of the preferred destinations for higher education for International students. The commitment of the Chinese government and the initiatives being taken at government level are symbolic in promising future for Chinese and International students studying at the universities in China.
The tour had a perfect combination of work and leisure. In addition to the breath taking views and majestic buildings, the visits gave insight into the rich history, vibrant culture and traditions, fast paced lifestyle and dynamic and warm-hearted people of China.
