Siraj for presenting agreements inked with US in parliament
FAISALABAD: The government should present the agreements in the Parliament inked with the US instead of making false claims of not giving bases to the country. It was said by Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq while addressing a convention of Ulema and Mashaikhs here on Sunday. The JI ameer said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had claimed that Pakistan would not give bases to the United States and there would be no trade with India till the Kashmir issue was resolved. He alleged that the NAB was being used aagainst the opposition. He said that the NAB was not taking action in the sugar, medicine and flour scandals. Sirajul Haq said that if the government was really sincere with the youth, then it should announce interest-free loans. Maulana Saeed Ahmad Asad, Maulana Zia Al Qasimi, Javed Kasuri, Mahboob Alzaman Butt, Sardar Zafar Hussain, Riaz Saadi and others were also present.
CHEQUES DISTRIBUTED AMONG CATTLE BREEDERS: A function was held to distribute cheques among the cattle breeders under Livestock Breeding Scheme at Tehsil Jaranwala. Provincial Minister for Public Prosecution Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
It was informed that the cheques worth Rs 1.6 million were being distributed among 68 cattle breeders in Tehsil Jaranwala.
The minister said that the Punjab government was taking practical steps to improve the Livestock Department.
He said that such friendly schemes would also help increase the production of meat and milk.

According to a spokesperson for the Health Department, the COVID-19 death toll had reached 1,130 in the district and 776 tests for coronavirus were conducted in public and private sectors during the last 24 hours. He said so far, 20,240 patients had recovered from the disease while total active cases in Faisalabad reached 249. He said 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 beds at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammdabad for COVID-19 patients.
