The facilitative decision-making style is a popular leadership style that allows governments to join hands with people to deal with a problem. This approach helps countries to introduce fresh ideas and execute new plans/projects without any hindrance. In our country, however, the smooth execution and functioning of any plan and well-thought-out policies is a distant dream. At present, the government is running its vaccination campaign to fight against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. A majority of people are getting themselves vaccinated because they do know that the vaccine will play a big role in eradicating the virus from the country. On the other hand, the Sindh and Punjab governments, have introduced strict measures to force people to get vaccinated. The Sindh government had said that the salaries of the government employees wouldn’t be released until the employees get vaccinated. On the other hand, the Punjab government decided to block SIM cards of unvaccinated people. This approach is not great for dealing with a serious issue.
It is the responsibility of the government to extend help to people who are unwilling to get vaccinated. The authorities must find out why people are reluctant to get the vaccine doses. They should create awareness among people and must provide incentives to vaccinated people.
