Rs948 million for Auqaf department

LAHORE:The Punjab Government has allocated a hefty Rs948.476 million for Auqaf and Religious Affairs department in the fiscal budget 2021 for the upkeep and construction of religious sites, mosques and shrines. Of this allocation, Rs248.476 million, (35.5%) have been earmarked for the Auqaf projects in South Punjab, while Rs700.000 million have been allocated for the projects located in upper Punjab. Out of the total allocations, Rs224.051 million will be spent on the ongoing schemes including Rs176.658 million on the schemes in upper Punjab and Rs47. 393 million on schemes in southern Punjab.
