‘Rescue 1122 helping people in emergencies’

BISHAM: Director General Rescue 1122 Service Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khatir Ahmad on Sunday said that no effort would be spared to ensure the provision of first aid to people in emergencies.

Talking to reporters during his visit to Shangla district, he said the rescue service had launched campaigns to raise awareness among the people about the threats posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The official said that fumigation was carried out to help fight the coronavirus and prevent it from spreading. He said that patients were being transported to hospitals and quarantine centres.

Khatir Ahmad said that Rescue 1122 had served around 10,000 corona patients since the start of the pandemic. The officials from the Rescue 1122 transported the corona patients from the Bacha Khan International Airport and the Torkham border crossing to the quarantine centres, he added.
