Small Industries, SBP to collaborate for promotion of culture
LAHORE : The young generation including national male and female players belonging to different games will be imparted valuable knowledge about Pakistan’s culture and heritage with the collaboration of Punjab Small Industries; this was stated by Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh during his meeting with Director Punjab Small Industries Yawar Mehdi at National Hockey Stadium.
Talking on this occasion, Aulakh said that Sports Board Punjab and Punjab Small Industries will sign an MoU in this regard soon. “Punjab Small Industries will share the knowledge of Punjab’s handicraft with the potential youngsters of the province. We are also going to establish a Cultural Centre in near future with the collaboration of Punjab Small Industries,” he added.
Director Punjab Small Industries Yawar Mehdi, on this occasion lauded the endeavours of Sports Board Punjab for the promotion of sports culture across the Punjab province. “Definitely it will be a great honour for us to impart useful knowledge about Pakistan’s culture and heritage to our youth including male and female sports persons”.
He further said: “Pakistan has been blessed with rich legacy and I think it should be compulsory for all youngsters to have firsthand knowledge about the valuable culture and traditions of the country. “Definitely, it is matter of pride that Pakistan has great respect among international community due to its valuable culture and traditions”.
Director Punjab Small Industries Yawar Mehdi on this occasion presented a souvenir and literature of Small Industries to DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.
PSL beneficial for Pak cricket:
Meanwhile, DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that the holding of remaining matches of PSL-6 at Abu Dhabi is definitely a positive development.
Aulakh said that the matches of PSL-6 were suspended due to coronavirus. The sports activities were stalled throughout the world due to this fatal virus. “Pakistan will get plenty of young talented players through Pakistan Super League matches. After playing competitive cricket matches alongside international stars, obviously, the confidence of our young players will be increased,” he opined.
He said: “The game of cricket is getting great boost through PSL matches. Cricket fans are enjoying thrilling matches of Pakistan Super League”.
