Fire damages building in Jauhar

A fire broke out at a residential building in Block 15 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Saturday, damaging electricity wires on several floors.
According to a fire brigade spokesperson, the fire erupted in the multi-storey building’s electricity wires on the first floor, and soon the flames engulfed the wires on other floors.
The power supply in the area was immediately suspended to avoid any untoward incident.
Four fire tenders participated in the fire-extinguishing work and controlled the blaze with hectic efforts lasting 45 minutes. No loss of life was reported.
