LAHORE: The Punjab government has made important decisions for prevention of coronavirus and for increasing the pace of vaccination process in the province.
Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid chaired a meeting at Civil Secretariat here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the Punjab chief secretary, additional chief secretary, DGPR, secretaries of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department and Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department and other top civil and military officers.
It was decided that mobile SIM cards of people not getting vaccinated would be blocked. The government will open walk-in vaccination for over 18 years of age group. Mobile vaccination points will be set up around all shrines in Punjab. All business will be opened in the districts where more than 20 per cent population had been vaccinated. Yasmin reviewed the measures to stop corona spread. She reviewed the steps to increase the number of vaccination centres, addition of health services.
