Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a relief from the heat wave in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas from tonight (Friday) in the form of a rainy spell.

According to it, several cities in eastern and central parts of the country, including Potohar region, will receive moderate to heavy rainfall for three days.

Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are likely to penetrate in eastern parts of the Country from Friday night. Under the influence of the system, wind and thunderstorms can be expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan (Astore, Kharmang, Ghanche and Shigar), Islamabad & Rawalpindi from Friday evening to Monday.
