Country’s economy improved, says CM Usman Buzdar

LAHORE:Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the PTI was the most popular political party which had improved country’s economy. However, he regretted that the opposition had not accepted economic development of the country as it did not want the common man to prosper.

Independent candidate from PP-84 Khushab, Malik Amjad Raza called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and announced joining the PTI while reposing his trust in the leadership of CM Usman Buzdar. The PTI has taken effective steps for the resolution of public problems, he said. The chief minister welcomed him saying that the PTI was the most popular political party which had improved economy. However, he regretted that the opposition had not accepted economic development of the country as it did not want the common man to prosper. The CM advised the opposition to realise facts.

The PTI had come to power to serve the masses while conspirators would be frustrated, he added. The people would not allow the PDM leadership to play with their future, concluded the CM. Chief Whip Syed Abbas Ali Shah MPA was also present.

ASHRAFI: Special Aide to Prime Minister for Interfaith Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and discussed matters of mutual interest.

He appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government to overcome the coronavirus pandemic, promising that religious scholars would continue their active role in that regard.

The whole world had also acknowledged the steps taken by the Pakistan government and the Ulema and Mashaikh would extend full support to the government for promotion of unity, peace and brotherhood, he added. The CM said that promotion of societal norms of tolerance, harmony and brotherhood was need of the hour and the provincial government recognised the religious scholars’ role in that regard. The ulema had promoted harmony in society and their role in dealing with fanaticism on the intellectual front was praiseworthy. “We should follow the golden principles of tolerance, peace and harmony to make this world a worth-living place,” he added. Usman Buzdar appreciated the ulema role during the corona pandemic in educating people to get vaccinated. The government would transform Pakistan into a true Islamic welfare state under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he added.

INSPECTS CLEANLINESS: Usman Buzdar visited different areas of the provincial metropolis to check cleanliness arrangements under the “Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par” programme. He drove his vehicle without personal staff and expressed strong indignation over poor cleanliness arrangements in some parts of the city. On his direction, CEO LWMC Imran Ali Sultan has been removed from his post and directed to report S&GAD, said a handout issued here Friday. Those failing to resolve public problems had no right to stay on their posts, he said. Paperwork will not be tolerated nor would any compromise be made on cleanliness, he added. —APP
