Closing time

What is the logic behind the Sindh government’s decision to close all markets and businesses by 6pm. In other provinces, markets remain opened until 8pm. The closing time restrictions are creating many problems. In Karachi, for example, shops have to deal with huge crowds at closing time. Later, almost every area has to deal with extreme traffic jams as people try to reach home before 8pm.

The provincial government has banned gatherings of more than10 people at any place. However, between 5pm and 6pm, dozens of people are found inside tiny shops.
