Five terrorists killed in DG Khan encounter
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Five terrorists were gunned down in an encounter with police in the wee hours of Wednesday near here while the police claimed that they had planned terrorist activities on the eve of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi.
The police said two terrorists fled.
The bodies of all the five have been shifted to Multan after postmortem examination at the teaching hospital. As per the local police, on a tip-off, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Multan police, attempted to stop the terrorists at a checkpost who then opened fire on the police party.
The incident took place near Vidore in the vicinity of Sakhi Sarwar Road while the five terrorists have been identified as Haider, son of Badshah Khan, Mumtaz, son of Gulistan, Ejaz, son of Khushal, Ilyas, son of Ghazi Mohammad, and Nouman, son of Alam Zaib.
They all belonged to the Bajaur Agency. The police also said the terrorists were coming from Balochistan and trying to enter Punjab. The CTD police also registered the case.
