Four PhD degrees awarded

LAHORE
Punjab University has awarded PhDs to four scholars in different subjects.
Drakhshan Liaqat, daughter of Liaqat Ali, has been awarded PhD in the subject of Urdu after approval of her thesis entitled “Agha Babar: Hayat Aur Adbi Khidmat”.
Sadia Nasrullah, daughter of Muhammad Nasrullah, has been awarded a PhD in the subject of Arabic after approval of her thesis entitled “Critical Study and Editing the Manuscript Noor Ul Waezeen by Al Sheikh Noor Ul Hasan Al Tariq (1348-h)”.
Wajiha Iram, daughter of Muhammad Zaheer, was awarded a PhD degree in the subject of Agricultural Sciences after approval of her thesis entitled “Detoxification of Mycotoxins Isolated from Storage Fungi of Maize Using Extracts of Local Medicinal Plants”.
Saman Shahid, daughter of Abdul Qadeer Shahid, was awarded a PhD degree in the subject of Environmental Sciences after approval of her thesis entitled “Molecular Analysis of Human Interferon Alpha 2b Gene in Brain Cancer Patients and Suspected Individuals Exposed to Environmental Ionization Radiations”.
Meanwhile, Punjab University Examinations Department has issued written date sheets of M.Com (3 ½ years programme) Part-I (1st year) annual examination 2015, M.Com (3 ½ years programme) Part-II (2nd year) annual examination 2015 and M.Com (3 ½ years programme) Part-III (3rd year) annual examination 2015.
