Drug peddlers held

OKARA: The police Friday arrested several drug peddlers and recovered a large quantity of drugs and wine from them.
On a tip-off, the Ravi police station officials arrested Muhammad Younus of Jandraka and recovered 1,685 gram charas. The Sher Garh police arrested Sardar Ali of the town with 1,260 gram charas.
The Haveli police arrested Taj Ahmad Wattoo of Makhna Thakarka locality and recovered 1,880 gram charas.
The Basirpur police arrested Zubair and recovered 1,560 gram charas. The Depalpur Sadr police booked Waqar Ahmad Mir Alam of the Asadullahpur locality for running a brewery in the village and seized 50 litres wine from the site.
