Mansehra CNG stations to suspend CNG sale daily for 6 hours

MANSEHRA: The district administration has asked owners of compressed natural gas (CNG) stations to suspend gas sale to vehicles for six hours a day.
“As the gas pressure has dropped with advent of winter in the district, henceforth CNG stations would remain closed for six hours a day,” Deputy Commissioner Aamir Khattak told reporters on Wednesday, adding violators would be taken to justice under strict laws.
The official said a notification had also been issued to owners of the CNG stations in the district. He said the gas supply to vehicles would remain suspended from 6am to 9am in morning and from5pm to 8pm in the evening.
The deputy commissioner said assistant commissioner had been tasked with checking the CNGs stations daily for implementation of the sale suspension schedule so that domestic consumers could be ensured gas supply with adequate pressure.
It may be mentioned here that upper parts of Hazara, including Mansehra, have been under severe cold since the start of first snowfall and rain of this winter season two weeks ago. That has dropped the gas pressure in city and its adjoining areas.
