JHANG: Three members of a family were killed in a road accident on Jhang-Chiniot Road here on Saturday.
Munawar Abbas, his wife Sadaf, mother Mondan Bibi and daughter Mahjabeen were on their way home on a motorcycle when a truck hit them. As a result, Munawar Abbas, Sadaf and Mondan Bibi died on the spot while Mahjabeen sustained injuries.
ROAD SAFETY WALK: The Mobile Education Unit of National Highways & Motorway Police on Saturday organised a ‘Road Safety Public Awareness Walk’ to create awareness among the masses here.
DSP Traffic Ijaz Masood, senior officials of National Highways & Motorway Police, students, teachers, journalists, and people from different walks of life participated in the walk. The participants were holding banners and placards inscribing slogans about road safety measures. The walk was started from Nawaz Chowk and culminated outside the press club. The speakers while addressing on the occasion asked the people to adopt road safety measures to avoid accidents. They said that the people could avoid from road accidents by following the traffic laws.
