Islamabad: Citizens of federal capital on Tuesday demanded the quarters concerned to start beautification of track from F-8 to G-9 of Fatima Jinnah Park commonly known as F-9 Park.
The park is a favourite area among the citizens of the federal capital being a major recreational place. However, citizens complained that the park was losing its charm due to devastating condition of greenbelts leading to Sector F-8 to G-9 because of apathy of the concerned civic body.
Citizens who mainly come to the park after 4:00p.m. have to face inconvenience due to grassy tracks.
A housewife, Farzana Ahmad, said, “I have been coming to this park since long as there are several tracks for walking. I usually use F-8 to G-9 track which needs proper attention of civic body like putting colourful flowers at its greenbelt.”
Another citizen Ahmed Raza said, “this oldest park being favourite among all my family members and I frequently come here to have a pleasant walk, but I am unhappy over poor condition of greenbelts.”
When contacted an official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) said that the authority has planned for planting different kinds of flowers in various parks of federal capital.
