President, aviation minister offer funeral prayers of plane crash martyred

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: President Dr Arif Alvi attended the funeral prayer of two martyred passengers of Karachi plane crash at the Army graveyard Rawalpindi.

After the funeral, he prayed for the high ranks of the deceased and grant of courage for the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude, a press release said.

Raja Asif Fayyaz, a police personnel and Syed Danish Shah, a businessman, were among the unfortunate passengers of PIA plane which crashed in Karachi on Friday. Their bodies were shifted to Islamabad airport on Monday noon.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayer for both the martyrs of plane crash also offered in Dhok Chaudriyan. Head Constable of Rawalpindi police Asif Fayyaz was deputed at Kutchery Chowki in Rawalpindi who martyred in plane crash along with his cousin Syed Danish while Malik Zeeshan who also martyred in the plane crash was mutual friend and they were going to Karachi on the unfortunate plane.

Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan offered funeral prayer of them. Following the funeral prayer, he said that any Organisation including PALPA will not be allowed to make politics on the tragic incident of plane crash.

He said that makers of A-320 flight will also conduct investigations on the tragic incident of plane crash, in which 97 people reportedly died. He announced that the government will compensate each martyr of the plane crash with Rs5 million and also compensate the loss of houses demolished in plane crash.

CPO Rawalpindi DIG Muhammad Ahsan Younis also visited the home of martyred police constable of Rawalpindi who had died in the plane crash. CPO Rawalpindi DIG Muhammad Ahsan Younis held meeting with kin of Shaheed police constable Asif Fayyaz and express condolence with the bereaved family.
