2,058 FIRs in Lahore on lockdown violations
LAHORE: Lahore police have registered 2,058 FIRs against the persons involved in different violations since the imposition of partial lockdown in the City.
More than 182,000 citizens were checked at police pickets since the lockdown whereas more than 171,841 persons were issued warnings o contain their unnecessary movement. More than 4,307 citizens involved in unnecessary movement were released after taking warranty bonds as not to move again in City other than in emergency situation.
As many as 160,000 vehicles, including 91079 motorcycles, 32,623 cars, 24,049 auto-rickshaws, 4,492 taxis and 8,508 bigger vehicles, were stopped on the pickets and the vehicles owners were issued warnings for their unnecessary movement in the City. As many as 6,714 vehicles were impounded in different police stations involved in violations.
