COVID-19: Jakarta to impose large scale social restriction

JAKARTA: The Indonesian capital of Jakarta, hit the hardest by COVID-19 in the country, will impose a large-scale social restriction to contain the further spread of the virus.
A request of Jakarta’s administration to impose the restriction has been approved by the Indonesian Health Ministry, the ministry’s Secretary General Oscar Pribadi said.The letter on the approval of the request for applying the restriction, he said, was inked on Monday evening, media reported on Tuesday.
The COVID-19 virus has killed 209 people in Indonesia and infected 2,491 others. Most of the cases have been detected in Jakarta, according to the Health Ministry.
