CCI meeting be held on daily basis: Shahbaz
LAHORE: PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif said Wednesday that Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting should be held on daily basis.
He said the supply of protective dress and other necessary equipment to doctors, paramedical staff and provinces should be ensured on priority basis. The increasing number of coronavirus patients is worrisome. It is the federal government’s apathy and criminal act to neglect the provinces under such circumstances, he added. Shahbaz said the provinces were not briefed on the procedure of resource distribution.
He said number of corona patients turning into thousands from hundreds is alarming and if the government did not take timely steps, the pandemic would damage the country. He said the government has no
strategy to deal with the lockdown effects. He said till the government will understand the trend of coronavirus, it will be too late. —Sabah
