Violation of govt directives: Food items seized from Local Government Office

JHANG: The AC on Friday paid a surprise visit to the Local Government Department Office and seized food items from a farewell party which was in progress violating the government orders issued under coronavirus emergency.

The district administration authorities were informed that the officials of the LGD had arranged a farewell party inside the office which was a clear violation of government’s repeated notifications. The organisers of the party had arranged different food items in the office of the assistant director of the LGD. The AC reached the office and took the food items in custody and shifted them to a local public shelter home. The AC said that the action was taken to stop the function furthermore. He told that further course of action would be initiated after receiving the directions from the DC who had already been informed about the situation.

DC asks traders to wash shops with chlorine mixed water: JHANG: Municipal Corporation Administrator/DC Tahir Wattoo on Friday asked the traders and shopkeepers to wash their shops and markets with chlorine mixed water to protect the public from coronavirus.

The MC staff has been directed to extend their coordination with traders and provide the required machinery to complete the task. AC Qasim Gil has also been directed to monitor the performance of the MC staff in this regard. The DC said that the decision had been taken by the government to fight coronavirus at every level.

Moreover, the DC directed the ADC (General) and heads of all sections of his office to dispose of public matters of applicants who telephonically contacted them during public entry ban in offices.

He also directed the computer programmer and system network administrator of his office that they must increase their performance and ensure uploading of public information timely especially during the corona emergency situation.
