Sports complexes, playgrounds & gymnasiums closed in KP
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Directorate General of Sports has shut all complexes, playgrounds and gymnasiums in the wake of coronavirus spread in the country. All the sports complexes, grounds, gymnasiums and playing areas were locked down on Wednesday. The players and visitors were advised to restrain from using the facilities under Directorate General Sports KP across the province. Director-General Sports, Asfandyar Khan Khattak, said they have taken all precautionary measures to protect and prevent the youngsters, especially athletes from infection. He said the regional sports officers and district sports officers in all districts have been issued elaborate guidelines in the light of provincial government’s decision. The official said the presence of staff at all the offices of sports directorate has been curtailed as part of precautionary measure, while banners displayed outside sports complexes to guide the general public.
