DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday said that Dera Ismail Khan district was included in the map of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Speaking at a gathering of the Gomal University Academic Staff Association here, he said it would turn this underdeveloped district into a developed area, adding that the PC-1 of the route has been prepared.
The Maulana said the southern districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were underdeveloped as the rulers didn’t bother to work for the development of the hitherto underdeveloped areas in the province.
Fazlur Rehman said the US and its Western allies were conspiring against Islam as they saw it a hurdle to carry out their agenda. He said the conspirators would bite the dust as they wouldn’t be able to achieve their goals.
“The Muslims should forge unity among their ranks to foil the evil designs of the enemies,” the JUI-F leader maintained. The JUI-F chief said the Muslims should put their petty differences aside and work for the supremacy of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
The JUI-F leader said that new disciplines would be introduced at the Gomal University, which was founded by his father Mufti Mehmood, to facilitate the students from the far-flung areas to acquire knowledge.
