PML-Q backs medics’ demands: Pervaiz
LAHOREPakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has fully supported the demands of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff of the government hospitals and said it was essential that these people should be ensured mental satisfaction, respectable and peaceful atmosphere for serving people.

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has fully supported the demands of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff of the government hospitals and said it was essential that these people should be ensured mental satisfaction, respectable and peaceful atmosphere for serving people.
He was talking to a delegation of All Health Employees Association Gujrat headed by its Vice-Chairman Ch Sajjad Ahmad which called on him at his residence on Wednesday. The delegation included President Ch Jamil Ahmad, Patron-in-Chief Syed Ali Raza and members Faheem Saleh Ch, Irshad Ahmad, Nadeem Abbasi, President Women Wing Nameera Ashraf and Gulnaz Fatima among others.
Demanding an immediate transfer of EDO Health, Gujrat, Dr Ejaz, the delegation said all organisations of the district have decided that they will not do duty on September 14 in polio campaign and on election duty under Dr Ejaz, sit-ins were staged against him outside the DCO office, on which he was transferred on August 12 but due to political influence and approach he was on August 16 not only was posted back on the same seat but also appointed the Returning Office for local bodies election which is against election rules.
Delegation members pointed out that during last election not only demonstrations were held but also sit-in was staged outside the office of Election Commission in Gujrat against rigging. They said they will again stage sit-in and no employee of Health Department Gujrat will do duty in the local bodies’ election under him.
