ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman withdrew himself to play a role as arbitrator on the issue of resignations between government and MQM.
Final announcement would be made in a press conference.
As per media reports, a statement issued by the Majlis-e-Shura of JUI-F says that in an advisory meeting of the party, senior leaders said that JUI-F Chief should withdraw himself to play a role of arbitrator.
The party leaders were of the view that both the parties were not giving significance to party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. In the meeting, the visit of JUI-F’s chief to 90 (the central secretariat of MQM) was also disliked.
As per report, JUI-F chief said in the meeting that MQM and government did not care for the settled matters which disappointed him. Both the parties did not show any flexibility. After this, during the meeting all the senior leaders advised party chief to withdraw himself to play the role as mediator.
The JUI-F’s chief expressed his willingness which would be announced soon in a press conference.
