CDA urged to initiate development work in Sector G-11
Islamabad : A delegation of Traders Welfare Association, G-11 Markaz, Islamabad led by its President Ch. Aftab Gujar visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and highlighted key issues of their market that needed urgent of CDA and MCI.
Muhammad Ahmed Waheed President, Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President, Saif ur Rahman Khan Vice President ICCI, Zubair Ahmed Malik Chairman Founder Group, Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi former President ICCI, Khalid Chaudhry and others were present in the meeting.
Speaking at the occasion, Ch. Aftab Gujar President and Syed Qaiser Abbas Kazmi Secretary General, Traders Welfare Association, G-11 Markaz, Islamabad said that due to inattention of CDA and MCI, traders of their market were facing many problems. They said that filtration plant was not installed in their market due to which people of the area were deprived of clean drinking water. They said that water shortage, broken roads, footpaths, insufficient parking, sewerage system, sanitation, street lights, lack of public toilet etc. were the major issues in G-11 Markaz. They stressed that CDA and MCI should address these issues and focus on development works in G-11 Markaz in order to facilitate the growth of business activities.
Addressing the delegation, Muhammad Ahmed Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that G-11 Markaz was one of important business centres of the federal capital and urged that CDA and MCI should urgently resolve highlighted issues of traders of the area. He said the business community of Islamabad was not satisfied with the performance of CDA and MCI as both were not resolving their major issues. He stressed upon the government to bring reforms in these organizations so that they could deliver better services to the citizens. He said that IESCO should proper organize electric wires in G-11 Markaz in order to avoid any fatal incident.
Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President and Saif ur Rahman Khan Vice President ICCI assured the delegation that ICCI would fully cooperate with TWA G-11 Markaz in redress of their key issues.
Zubair Ahmed Malik Chairman Founder Group, Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi former President ICCI, Asif Shah, Waqar Malik, and others also spoke at the occasion and stressed for the need of undertaking developmental works in G-11 Markaz to facilitate the business community.
