Nadir, Noor reach Indus Pharma National Tennis semi-finals
KARACHI: Nadir Bachani and Noor-e-Mustafa reached men’s singles semi-finals at the 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championship at Modern Club here on Tuesday. Nadir beat Minhas 6-4, 7-5 and Noor-e-Mustafa overpowered Vinod Das 6-2, 1-6, 10-6 in the quarter-finals.
In under-18 singles quarter-finals, Hasheesh Kumar beat Saim Danish 6-3, 6-4, Amin Shafi won against Asher Mir 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, and Mahatir thrashed Wasi 6-1, 6-1. In under-12 singles quarter-finals, Zain smashed Hamza Ali from Lahore 4-1, 4-1 and Hania Minhas from Lahore thrashed Sameer 4-1, 4-0.
In under-10 singles quarter-finals, Hania Minhas beat Abdul Wahab 4-0, 4-0. In the second round of men’s doubles, the pair of Aqeel Shabbir and Murad won against the duo of Saad Ahmed and Zubair Raja 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
