PPP celebrates ZAB’s92nd birth anniversary
LAHORE:Pakistan People’s Party Central Punjab General Secretary Chaudhry Manzur Ahmed has said that the party leadership and workers have to take brave and historic decisions like Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took.
Addressing a gathering of party workers held in connection with the 92nd birth anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto amid slogans against amendemt to the Army Act by jialas, Chaudhry Manzur Ahmed expressed the hope that the party’s Central Executive Committee would take decisions according the aspirations of the party workers.
He said that it was Shaheed Benazir Bhutto whose efforts restored democracy in the country and a dictator like Pervez Musharraf had to quit his army post. He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was carrying the legacy of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Chaudhry Manzur also stated that he had no issue with the personality of General Qamar Javed Bajwa but his difference of opinion was against the mindset which opposed the 18th Amendment.
The PPP leader alleged a puppet had been made the prime minister of the country. He said the people had the right to choose their rulers. The ceremony was also addressed by the party’s senior leaders, including Syed Hassan Murtaza, Chaudhry Aslam Gill, Haji Aziz ur Rehman Chan and Munawar Anjum.
