Fawad slaps TV anchor
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry slapped a TV anchor here Sunday. Fawad Chaudhry, who also made headlines for assaulting a TV anchor at a wedding ceremony in Faisalabad last year, once again slapped TV anchor Mubasher Lucman this time at the Walima reception of the son of Punjab Provincial Minister Sardar Mohsin Khan Leghari.
The federal minister had an argument with the TV anchor over the issue of TikTok girl Hareem Shah after which he slapped the media person. Both figures indulged in scuffle after which the guests had to intervene to diffuse the tension.
Later in a Tweet, Fawad Chaudhry wrote that some so-called journalists had adopted the way of hurling accusations on politicians and honourable people to get ‘hits’ for their Youtube channels. Lahore Press Club, journalists' unions, PFUJ, PUJ, EMRA and others demanded apology from the minister, otherwise they would stop covering government activities.
