Young Sikh man shot dead in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A young Sikh, who had returned from abroad for his wedding, was shot dead by unidentified attackers in the limits of the Chamkani Police Station.
Parvinder Singh, 25, was working in Malaysia and had returned home to get married in February, relatives said. Belonging to Chakesar in Shangla, Parvinder Singh was in Peshawar to shop for his upcoming wedding where his bullet-riddled body was found in Chamkani late Saturday night, relatives told reporters.
“We are investigating the motives behind his killing. The family has not charged anyone in the first information report,” Mohammad Ali Gandapur, the Capital City Police Officer, told The News. The official said the police were investigating the case from all angles.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Operations, Zahoor Afridi visited the site of the incident and later talked to the family of the deceased. “ The family of the deceased told the police that they received a call from an unknown person late Saturday night who informed them about the murder of Parvinder.
